STUDY: Pinterest Tops Facebook In Shopping Engagement
As Facebookenters the ecommerce game, a new study shows that it still has work to do to catch up with Pinterest. According to statistics from Bizrate Insights, 69 percent of online consumers who visit Pinterest have found an item they've bought or wanted to buy, compared with 40 percent of Facebook users. Just as Facebook has changed tremendously since 2010, so have users' habits with regard to the like button. PostRocket, which helps brands manage their Facebook campaigns, analyzed how people liked pages two years ago in comparison with current nature. Facebook Adds 7 Antivirus Marketplace Partners
Facebook introduced its Antivirus Marketplace in April, featuring free downloads and six-month licenses of security software from Microsoft, McAfee, Trend Micro, Sophos, and Symantec. WARNING: Spanish Email Promising Sexy Facebook Video Leads To Malware

Report: Facebook PAC Donates More To Republicans; Employees Favor Democrats
Facebook's political-action committee, fbPAC, continued to hit its like button more for Republicans than Democrats in 2012, as CNNMoney reported that GOP politicians raked in $140,000 from the social network through September, compared with $127,000 for Democrats.
