CNNMoney reported that Computershare, which handles shareholder records for the social network, alerted GiveAShare.com and OneShare late last week that there would be no paper stock certificates. The two companies planned to offer single Facebook shares as collectibles, for $39... read more>>

Microsoft Quietly Launches Potential Facebook Competitor So.cl
On the heels of the highly anticipated Facebook initial public offering, tech biggie Microsoft made a hush-hush entrance into the social networking arena, unleashing its So.cl experiment from beta-testing. The social network, known as So.cl (pronounced "social"), which we began hearing about in December, is currently only available to college students, reported Mashable and CNET. Deemed an "experimental research project," rather than a product (sounds rather mumbo-jumbo, no?), the aim of So.cl is... read more>>
Four Reasons Why Google Doesn't Care If Facebook Wins The Social Media Wars
Facebook is winning the social media wars. But Google isn't worried. According to Chief Executive Officer Larry Page, Google Plus has more than 100 million active users. Facebook, meanwhile, has more than 900 million active monthly users. Google Plus has a little more than 10 percent of Facebook's reach, and its users spend a mere 3.3 minutes per month on the search engine giant's social network, compared with the average Facebook... read more>>

No Over-The-Top Wedding For Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Bride Priscilla Chan
There's a little of thrifty Warren Buffet in Facebook Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg. The billion-dollar wedding industry got no dimes, and barely even a nickel, from billionaire Zuckerberg and his new bride, Priscilla Chan. Bucking a national trend of lavish, over-the-top nuptials, Zuckerberg and longtime girlfriend Chan got hitched in their Palo Alto, Calif., backyard to little fanfare Saturday. They avoided any and all stress related to wedding invitations --... read more>>
